I&#39;d heard all sorts of horror stories about the water quality around Manhattan - any comments on that?<br /><br />I&#39;m actually a New England Masters swimmer originally from Folkestone in England. If I can get my lazy butt in the pool enough I want to try the Channel myself in the next 2 or 3 years (before I&#39;m 50).
