I&#39;m an American who has learned to speak Welsh (shockingly well, all things considered) through a free (no tricks, free) web-based audio course called www.saysomethinginwelsh.com . Your Welsh-speaking friend may have heard of it -- it&#39;s won a biggish award in Wales, and Stephen Fry recently tweeted about it, and there are something like 15,000 of us around the world learning to speak Welsh with it.
