- Elaine Howley
- I've been a swimmer since I was 5. I swam USS as a kid and was captain of the high school team. Went on to row crew and swim at Georgetown. Took some time off for Peace Corps and grad school, then got back in the pool about 5 years ago. That's when I became a crazy cold water marathoner... This blog details the trials and tribulations of a Beer Baby, that friendly, round belly that keeps me warm and sustains me in my quest to swim across large, cold bodies of water such as the Catalina and English Channels. This is my record of the care and feeding (and training) the Beer Baby requires.
